The new Cardslide is produced from high-quality polycarbonate, as used in the production of bulletproof glass. The Cardslide is a useful addition to the Cardprotector, suitable for business cards and banknotes, for example. It has slimline finishing touches from stainless steel.
With a click of the button, all cards slide out gradually. A special anodised aluminium casing prevent the cards from bending and breaking. The most unique and important function of Secrid Card Protector is its ability to protect your RFID cards being scanned if you don't want them to be (such as the transportation pass, ID card, the latest credit cards and business cards).
The Secrid cardholder is designed and made in Holland and has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.
This card Protector can hold up to six cards. Some cards have thickened letters, this is called embossing. You can store up to six cards in the Cardprotector, including one with embossing. Or up to five cards, three of which with embossing.
RFID/NFC cards are not safely stored in a regular wallet. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) or NFC (Near Field Communication) cards have a chip and an antenna for wireless communication. These cards, such as the public transportation pass, new credit cards and admission tickets, can be activated, selected and copied from up to many metres away, without you noticing. The Secrid Cardprotector works as a firewall in your wallet.
To safely use an RFID/NFC card, you slide it out 3 cm from the Cardprotector; the sensitivity for the radio signal is then substantially reduced, but still sufficient for contact over short distances. By minimising the time duration and signal strength, you remain outside the reach of digital pickpockets.
